Hear What Our Customers Have to Say

I have only good things to say about the sales experience at Sheehy Nissan.  My wife went first, alone, to two local (Springfield) dealerships.  At the Toyota place, she was not treated well by the sales staff.  She went to Sheehy and was treated with respect and courtesy.  The salesman, Ben Montgomery, was as nice as could be.  We went together on Monday to both places.  The Toyota place treated us better, but would not commit to a price on a Camry that we test-drove or a quote for my trade.  At Sheehy, after test-driving the car, we got in writing a price proposal and a trade quote and an enumeration of all the taxes, titleing, etc.  Very professional and concise.  Just what I was looking for.  I had done some homework, and the quote they gave me for my trade-in was exactly what Edmunds said it should be, and the price for the car was actually a bit less than Edmunds true market value.  We were very satisfied.  I decided to give Toyota another chance, and once again after spending an hour with them on Tuesday afternoon, and the usual routine of going back and forth to the manager, I still did not have a firm, written price commitment.  I felt like they were making me do all the work to try to get the car away from them.  They also offered me 1G less for my trade than Sheehy.  So, Wednesday morning we went to Sheehy and bought the new Maxima.  Once again Ben Montgomery was excellent, as was Arthur Lauw.  They had it all clean and ready for us to take home by the time all the paperwork was done.  I have had the car about 3 weeks now and it is wonderful.  I highly recommend them.

Golfguy2 from Edmunds.com,

I decided to buy my college-bound daughter a 2009 Versa, and I solicited quotes through autobytel.com.  I had done my research, and some dealers were just outright padding the numbers, but I got good quotes from Sheehy and another NoVA dealer.  I had decided to go with the other dealer at first because their deal was slightly better, but as a courtesy to John from Sheehy for his thorough and thoughtful efforts to work with me, I left him a voicemail giving him another bite at the apple....

About a half mile from the other dealer's showroom, John calls me and asks me if it's too late to talk.  I pull over in an office park--the other dealer's showroom in sight--and ten minutes later I have a fantastic deal on a car from Sheehy.  So I turn around and head back to Springfield, where I seal the deal with John and Arthur, both of whom are easygoing gentlemen.

I was impressed both by their straightforward, bottom-line approach as well as their hunger for my business, which still never felt aggressive or pushy.  They didn't waste my time, and I'd like to think I gave them the same courtesy.

Few people like going through the ordeal of buying a new car, but John and Arthur made it as painless as possible, and I felt very satisfied.

Based on my experience with them, I endorse Sheehy with great enthusiasm.  I've driven several Nissans in my time, and I think they are good cars.  I will certainly give Sheehy first preference the next time I'm in the market for a car.

And my daughter is over the moon.  Most of her friends drive decrepit jalopies, whereas she's the envy of her social circle in her brand new blue Nissan Versa.

Thanks, guys, for a great deal well executed!

John P from Edmunds.com,

I was referred by one of my physicians to check out Sheehy Nissan in Springfield. Her husband had bought his latest Nissan from them and had nothing but glowing reviews. I would have to agree with his assessment. From the minute I walked into the dealership I felt welcomed and I was treated like a serious car buyer. I was greeted by the Manager, Arthur, and then assigned to Ben, one of the salesmen. Ben listened to what I was looking for in and directed towards the Nissan Versa S which turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. After a test drive I knew the Versa was for me.

I did my homework before going to the dealership and had quotes through the AAA. I got Sheehy's quote and then showed them the AAA quote. Even though they do not participate in the AAA program they were still willing to match the same price. I worked with first Ben and then with Arthur to hammer out a fair price and to find the exact car I was looking for. They found me the perfect car at their Glen Burnie dealership and had Ben drive it down to Springfield the next day.

All in all it was a seamless transaction. I felt well taken care of from the salesmen to the financing department. My only complaint would be that they became kind of busy not long after I got there so it took some extra time to get everything in order when it came time to get the paperwork together. But, in all fairness, it was President's Day weekend so I expected some delays.

modrocker from Edmunds.com,

It's Jan 2009 and I dealt with the new sales manager at Sheehy Nissan in Springfield, Arthur. Was blown away with his honesty about the true costs and his willingness to work with me. He undercut other Nissan dealerships offers by a considerable amount.

Prior to my going to this dealership, I had done my homework with Edmunds.com, kbb.com and Consumer Reports, talking to other Nissan owners and etc, so I had a very good idea of the current cost of the car I wanted.  With Arthur, I didn't get the normal 5 round prize fight of back and forth haggling with various numbers coming back and forth and the waiting game. He went straight to the chase.

My advice to anyone wanting to buy a car....do your research in detail, go to other dealers first to see what they're willing to do, and see what deal you get at the Springfield Sheehy Nissan dealership.

For anyone who might be skeptical, don't take my word, do what I did and see for yourself because that's exactly what I would do if someone told me something that sounded too good to be true...
